  CHARLESTON, W. Va. – Harvey-Cleary Construction has hired Commercial Window Shield for a privacy/decorative and switchable smart film project in West Virginia’s capital.   Harvey-Clearly is constructing a 4-story, 140-000 square-foot building for TC Energy’s new regional headquarters in downtown Charleston.   Commercial Window Shield will be installing a frosted band of privacy window film with a design element on the glass fronts of all conference room and offices on each of the four floors.   Additionally, the company will install switchable smart film on the glass front of a TC Energy IT equipment control room. A conference room and two offices have a view of the control room and the switchable smart film will provide on-demand privacy at the flip of a switch.   The building presently is under construction.   HERNDON, Va. – DAVIS Construction has hired Commercial Window Shield for a privacy/decorative window film installation project in suburban Washington, D.C. The project, for a national security company, involves installing a band of frosted privacy film on all office fronts and conference rooms glass on three floors of a building in which the security company will be the sole tenant. The film includes a design element for an overall privacy/decorative effect.   DAVIS is building out the floors in several phases. This will require Commercial Window Shield to work closely with DAVIS contractors to schedule multiple mobilizations of its privacy/decorative window film installation team.   WASHINGTON – Commercial Window Shield has been retained by long-time client, the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, for a   switchable smart film   installation project. The project involves a new Starbucks that opened inside the center. At issue is the considerable amount of foot traffic in the center and the coffee shop’s operating hours. Presently, convention visitors can see inside the Starbucks even when its closed or when employees are preparing to open. They constantly are trying to open the locked doors, which is especially inconvenient for employees doing the opening prep work. The project involves the installation of several types of window film. The company will install a band of privacy film on the glass on all the office fronts on one floor. On all of the organization’s conference rooms, a customized distraction band of window film will be installed. Also on the conference room glass, a decorative film will be installed that will include the Earthjustice logo for branding purposes. St. Mary’s County Public Schools Extends Security Window Film Contract with Commercial Window Shield

  LEONARDTOWN, Md. – The St. Mary’s County Public Schools system has extended a continuing window film installation services contract with Commercial Window Shield for another year. The contract calls for the company to complete security window film installation projects at school buildings on an as-needed bases.    The partnership began in 2022, when St. Mary’s hired Commercial Window Shield for Phase 1 of its ongoing building glass protection program.
