  SUBURBAN WASHINGTON D.C. —   Commercial Window Shield   has been retained by Bognet Construction for three window film installation projects in the Virginia suburbs near our nation’s capital. The first project involves the installation of  switchable smart film  on one section of a conference room on a single floor in the Skanska Building in Fairfax. Bognet is building out a partial floor for a client that is unnamed for security reasons. With a flip of a switch, the smart film goes from transparent to opaque blocking into the conference room from those outside the room.   ARLINGTON, Va. – DAVIS Construction has hired Commercial Window Shield for a privacy/decorative window film installation project in suburban Washington, D.C. The project, for WeWork, an international company that leases coworking spaces, involves installing a band of high-end gradient privacy window film on all office fronts and conference rooms glass on floors 9 and 10.  The film includes an opaque to clear design element for an overall privacy/decorative effect. DAVIS is building out the two floors in several phases. This will require Commercial Window Shield to work closely with DAVIS contractors to schedule multiple mobilizations of its privacy/decorative window film installation team.   STAFFORD, Va. –   Commercial Window Shield   has been awarded a safety and security installation project for the Stafford County Public Schools system. The project, Phase 2 of an overall school security plan, involves the installation of 15-mil safety and security window film with a wet glaze attachment system on all entryway glass at nine schools in the Stafford system. Earlier in 2025, Commercial Window Shield installed the same 15-mil safety and security window film, also with a wet glaze attachment system, at eight Stafford system schools. The Phase 2 project is underway and is expected to be completed early in 2026. A safety and security grant from the state was secured by Stafford schools to fund the projects.
