CK Construction Hires CWS for Security/RF Shielding Film Installation Project

METRO WASHINGTON, D.C.  – CK Commercial has retained Commercial Window Shield for a window film installation project for a high-security tenant in the metropolitan Washington area.

The project involves installing a fragment retention version of Radio Frequency [RF] Shielding Film on a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility [SCIF]. These secure spaces are accredited by the U.S. government for handling, storing and discussing sensitive compartmented information.

In total, Commercial Window Shield will be installing 1,300 sq. ft. of a thicker version of the normal RF film which will also include a wet glaze attachment system.

The film’s bomb blast resistance component will hold the SCIF’s glass in place in the event of a terrorist or other attack involving explosives. The RF Shielding component of the film will deter cyberthieves from stealing data from cell phones and computer screens utilizing devices that can penetrate clear glass office building windows.

As part of the project involving Commercial Window Shield, CK Commercial will be building out two floors in the building housing the unnamed tenant.

The project is scheduled to begin in the fall. As usual, Commercial Window Shield installers will work closely with CK Commercial contractors to coordinate their schedules.
