Bognet Construction Hires CWS for 3 Window: Film Installation Projects in Suburban D.C.
SUBURBAN WASHINGTON D.C. — Commercial Window Shield has been retained by Bognet Construction for three window film installation projects in the Virginia suburbs near our nation’s capital.
The first project involves the installation of switchable smart film on one section of a conference room on a single floor in the Skanska Building in Fairfax. Bognet is building out a partial floor for a client that is unnamed for security reasons. With a flip of a switch, the smart film goes from transparent to opaque blocking into the conference room from those outside the room.
The switchable smart film installation project is scheduled to begin in March. The second project involves the installation by Commercial Window Shield of three different types of window film at a building in Crystal City for Bognet client SAIC, a global IT company.
The initial work involves installing Radio Frequency [RF] Shielding window film on all exterior windows of a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility [SCIF]. The RF film keeps cyber thieves from stealing highly-sensitive information and data from mobile phones and computer screens by blocking the view from outside the SCIF space.
Commercial Window Shield also will be installing a band of frosted privacy film on all office fronts. Additionally, the company will be installing a decorative reeded window film that resembles bamboo on select office glass doors. This project will begin in the spring.
The final window film installation project involves Commercial Window Shield installing Radio Frequency [RF] Shielding film on a SCIF space Bognet will be constructing in a Chantilly building for a high security federal government client. This project also will begin sometime this spring.
Commercial Window Shield has a history working with some of the country’s top general contractors, Bognet among them. The company has also completed security, solar control, radio frequency [RF] shielding, switchable smart and privacy window film projects for Harvey-Cleary, HITT, Gilbane Building Co., rand Construction, D Watts Construction, DPR Construction and May Construction.
The company’s major focus in its more than 40 years in business has been security and solar control window film installation. Its clients have included the U.S. Capitol, FBI headquarters, the Pentagon, all House of Representative and Library of Congress buildings, Grand Central Terminal, Merrill Lynch headquarters, the United Nations, the Willis [former Sears] Tower, O’Hare and Seattle international airports, and the Philadelphia and Denver mints.
